 A National HUD-Approved Counseling Agency


NID Housing Counseling Agency is a dynamic network that includes advocacy groups, individuals, housing counselors, real estate professionals, community organizations, civic groups, and faith-based groups. Our mission is to ensure equitable access to housing in urban and minority communities across the nation.


As a multifaceted advocacy, communications, education, and resource network, NID Housing Counseling Agency empowers its partners and communities by providing essential information. We support efforts to improve access to quality housing and mortgage products and work towards eliminating housing disparities

Mission

NID-HCA Riverside/San Bernardino Counties mission is to provide housing counseling to the under-resourced and minority communities. Through our workshops we provide resources, tools, education and comprehensive housing counseling services that create sustainable homeownership, financial stability, community growth and generational wealth.  


 Together, Our goal to create a future where every individual and family can attain and maintain a stable, healthy, and vibrant home environment regardless of their status in life. We strive to help anyone that wants suitable housing, can get suitable housing. 

Vision

Our vision is to create communities where every family and individual can have access to safe, affordable and sustainable housing regardless of their social-economic status. We envision a country where everyone believes that homeownership is possible. We want to create innovative solutions that adapt to the ever changing economic environmental conditions . 

Core Beliefs

 

  • Education and Advocacy: Offering expert guidance, resources and education on homeownership, rental housing, homelessness, financial literacy, and foreclosure prevention to ensure informed housing decision-making and long-term housing stability and financial health.
  • Personalized Support: Delivering personalized counseling, various workshops and support to meet the needs of each person navigating through the difficult and ever-changing housing market with confidence and independence in their housing pilgrimage.
  • Community Engagement and Development: Strengthening communities through collaborative partnerships, outreach actions, advocating for affordable and transitional housing, and collaborating with local housing organizations and municipalities and their resources that address local housing challenges and opportunities.
  • Equity and Inclusion: Championing fair housing practices and make certain that policies for advocate the removal of barriers to housing access, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to achieve safe, affordable, and equitable housing.
  • Resource for Employment: Building strong networks and provide resources on finding suitable employment and educating the community on self employment opportunities.
  • Housing Creation: Provide safe, affordable temporary housing solutions to individual and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
